RC Piano Studio is a private piano instruction studio based in Universal City, Texas, offering personalized, high-quality lessons for students of all ages. We provide in-studio piano lessons in Universal City for families everywhere including: San Antonio, Selma, Live Oak, Converse, Schertz, Cibolo, and surrounding areas, and mobile lessons exclusively in Universal City, Selma, Live Oak, Converse, Schertz, and Cibolo. Our structured approach blends proper technique, music theory, sight-reading, rhythm skills, ear training, and student-chosen songs to keep learning engaging and effective. With flexible scheduling, clear progress tracking, and a supportive teaching environment, RC Piano Studio helps beginner students grow confidently at their own pace.
My Story
My name is Roman Samuel Cortez IV, and I’m a 17-year-old pianist with over 8 years of experience who genuinely loves teaching. I grew up learning piano with a doctoral-level instructor, spending years mastering technique, music theory, performance, and musicianship. I’ve performed at major venues including the Tobin Center, Texas Public Radio, the DoSeum, the San Antonio Ragtime Festival, and multiple MACSA events, but the most meaningful part of my journey has been sharing music with others. As a young entrepreneur and homeschooled student, I understand how to teach in a way that feels clear, patient, fun, and modern. I started RC Piano Studio because I want kids, teens, and adults to feel proud of every song they learn and excited every time they sit at the piano.
