RC Piano Studio Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
Welcome to RC Piano Studio (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, and lesson programs. By accessing or using our website or enrolling in lessons, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
2. Services Provided
RC Piano Studio offers private piano lessons in three formats: in-studio, mobile (in-home), and online. Lessons are available by appointment only and must be scheduled through our website or directly with the instructor. Lesson duration and pricing are listed on our website and are subject to change with reasonable notice.
3. Payments and Billing
All payments are due in advance to reserve lesson times. Payment can be made via accepted methods listed on our website (e.g., Wix Payments, PayPal, or other approved processors). Late or missed payments may result in forfeiture of the reserved lesson slot. RC Piano Studio reserves the right to adjust pricing at any time, with notice provided before new rates take effect.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Students must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in the lesson being charged in full. Repeated cancellations or no-shows may lead to suspension of lesson privileges. RC Piano Studio reserves the right to reschedule lessons due to instructor illness, emergencies, or holidays.
5. Refund Policy
All lesson payments are non-refundable once the lesson has begun. Refunds for prepaid lessons may be issued at the discretion of RC Piano Studio in the event of verified emergencies or instructor-initiated cancellations. No refunds are provided for missed or unnotified absences.
6. Student Conduct and Safety
Students and parents agree to maintain a respectful and safe learning environment during lessons, whether in-person or online. For mobile lessons, a parent or guardian must be present if the student is under 18. RC Piano Studio reserves the right to terminate lessons with any student who engages in inappropriate or disruptive behavior, without refund.
7. Online Lessons and Technology
For online sessions, students are responsible for maintaining a stable internet connection and functional equipment (camera, microphone, instrument). RC Piano Studio is not liable for missed or interrupted lessons due to connectivity or equipment issues on the student’s side.
8. Intellectual Property
All lesson materials, videos, worksheets, and content provided by RC Piano Studio are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Materials may not be copied, shared, or distributed without written permission. Students may use lesson materials solely for personal educational purposes.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Personal information collected through our website or during lessons is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (linked in your footer). By using our services, you consent to our collection and use of personal data as described in that policy.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RC Piano Studio and its instructor(s) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from lesson participation, website use, or technical issues. Students and parents acknowledge that music instruction involves personal effort and results vary individually.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
RC Piano Studio provides lessons and website content “as is” and makes no guarantees or warranties regarding improvement, skill acquisition, or specific results. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accurate information, but we do not warrant that the website or services will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RC Piano Studio, its instructor(s), and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the website, participation in lessons, or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination of Services
RC Piano Studio reserves the right to terminate or suspend services at any time for violation of these Terms, misuse of content, non-payment, or behavior deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
14. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time to reflect updates to our policies or services. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting on this page. Continued use of our website or services after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located in Bexar County, Texas.
